Who are we?

Founded in 2021, ADECAWEB is the official student association of the CAWEB Master’s program at the University of Strasbourg. Our missions? Building lasting connections by bringing the cohort together, supporting the master’s key official events, and opening new horizons with digital industry professionals. A true bridge between cultures, our association embodies the values of solidarity, multiculturalism and curiosity on a daily basis. ADECAWEB was founded at the initiative of the master’s program director, Ms. De La Paix, together with around ten motivated students from the very start. Since then, it has grown to become the master’s leading student association, with a clear international dimension: content available in French, English and German.

What is the CAWEB Master’s program?

The CAWEB Master’s program (Multilingual Digital Communication) is a state-accredited degree under the Applied Foreign Languages (LEA) Master’s track, offered by the University of Strasbourg. It is aimed at language-oriented profiles wishing to train for careers in web-related fields, and covers a wide range of areas: web development, UI/UX design, digital marketing, visual communication, project management, translation and localization, and social media management. The program is hybrid: after a first year of in-person study, students can continue their second year in person with a work-study contract in Alsace, fully remote with a work-study contract anywhere in France, or abroad as part of a continuing education program. What events are on offer?

Throughout the year, ADECAWEB organizes various types of events for master’s students:

• Themed evenings – Halloween, Valentine’s Day and other festive occasions
• CAWEB’Brunch – friendly talks with web industry professionals over brunch
• Christmas Market visit – a group outing as part of Christmas in Strasbourg
• Secret Santa – a gift exchange between students
• Crêpe sales – a classic way to get together and support the association

Where does the membership money go?

Membership fees are used exclusively to fund the association’s activities and day-to-day running:

• Decorations for the CAWEB room for seasonal celebrations
• Ingredients for crêpe sales
• Food and drinks for CAWEB’Brunch events
• Decorations for the M2 graduation ceremony
• The association’s annual insurance
