Interview – Ons Jeridi, Caweb student

The Master CAWEB is known for its multiculturalism and multilingualism. Our first guest comes from the Maghreb, more precisely from Tunisia. Ons Jeridi, an admirer of pretzels and the city center of Strasbourg, especially during the Christmas period, opens up to us and answers some questions about the Caweb Master and her life as a student.
Why Caweb Master? What characteristics have hooked you?
Passionate about web technologies and foreign languages, it is logical that I turned to the CAWEB Master’s degree. What encouraged me the most is the versatility of the training which allows me to develop skills in web development, localization, and project management.
What is your background before CAWEB?
I have a national engineering degree in software engineering.
What did you do as an apprenticeship?
I’m doing a work-study program in software development and I opted for a master’s degree in EAD.
What is your current post?
Currently, I am working at Tempo Consulting, in Strasbourg as Odoo application developer. Odoo is an ERP system, and I am responsible for designing, developing, and customizing multilingual web modules focused on the needs of our customers.
What is your best CAWEB student night?
I have not had the opportunity to attend CAWEB parties.
Who was your sidekick/best friend during your master’s degree?
Anaïs Andevski. During an exercise, the teacher put us together in pairs randomly. I’m glad I met her.
What were the difficulties you had to face during your master’s degree?
Since I am doing the Caweb Master in EAD, time management is a real challenge. It is necessary to find the balance between the apprenticeship, the classes that usually take place in the evening, and the projects to be completed while respecting the due dates.
Your suggestions so that we can better help the next caweb students to orient themselves and succeed in their journey?
First of all, knowing how to manage your time is a very important point for students and especially for alternates. Secondly, for me, helping each other is necessary. If someone already has knowledge or expertise about a course, they can help their classmates who are experiencing difficulties in this subject.
What are your future plans?
In the short term, the position of technical-functional consultant appeals to me. This position would allow me to acquire the necessary technical and managerial skills to occupy, in the long term, the position of project manager.
